This experience was so bad it was almost funny. We'd booked for a pre-gig meal (should have been suspicious that it was available at a few days notice) and turned up a few minutes early. We were given a menu and about ten minutes later a woman came over to take our order. She said it was her first day and she couldn't speak much English- fair enough, we pointed at all the things we wanted and she then repeated it back to us. Alarmingly she thought we had ordered "8 rice" which was going some as there were only 4 of us, but we ironed that out. Another ten minutes and no drinks or food. I checked that we were getting something, anything. No-one knew. Then we saw people leaving. Another bloke came over to check on us but also explained he couldn't speak English. After 35 minutes, and with no food or drink- or explanation, we also left. I have no problem with language difficulties or inexperienced staff, there's always a round it, but this was a shambles. It wasn't even busy. Dreadful.

We sat outside in the garden and the atmosphere was lovely. Ordered a selection of dishes which came promptly and all were delicious. Would definitely go again when next in the area.

Tomato beef was nice but the grilled fish was blant and dry. Overall I think the food is ok. 7 out of 10 maybe
