Although the food was not bad, it did not wow us. The mussels weren't the freshest and looked very sad in their shells. We think it is a bit overpriced for what you get, but we liked the cosy interior.

We ate here twice during our 8 day stay in Barcelona because it had the best food. Their food is as good as the best food we ate during our several trips to Italy! Wonderful food and service.

On the edge of the gothic El Born district this place was suitably old school bistro - dark wood and rough walls with minimal decoration, just the odd string of garlic and peppers. It reminded me of places in medieval quarters of other European cities.
The food was very good. Simple but beautifully cooked Italian inspired, minus the obvious pizzas . The menu was commensurate with fresh preparation; i.e. not ridiculously long or elaborate.
Wine list consisted of Spanish Cavas, reds, whites and rosados, plus a dessert offering, with about ten by the glass. These were poured at table allowing you to check the quality. Also a good range of spirits, including a separate rum section.
Service was attentive and relaxed. At the end of the meal we were offered complimentary Limoncello, sealing our good opinion of the place.
