We asked the service staff to feed us. Our waiter was happy to provide suggestions and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the wine was good quality. This is now our go-to Chinese restaurant.

A slightly hidden Canberra gem. So pleased they squeezed us in - it was a Friday night and the eve of Chinese New Year so it was packed. Food great as always and the service very attentive, especially given how busy they were.

Nice little restaurant, and is very popular. Good service, quick and helpful. Restaurant has been there since the early 1960's and is now run by the 3rd generation of the family.

Ah, Happy's. Nothing much has changed in five decades :-) The food is great (with generous servings), there are some dishes you won't find in the mainstream (their version of "Fried Rice Fookien Style" is amazing), and the service is fast from a good number of staff (both in the kitchen and on the floor). On the downside, it's tight/cramped, and can be loud at times. But at less than $120 for a family of four, including two always-hungry teenage boys, which got a couple of entrees and six mains, I'm not complaining. Happy's is the one place that will drag me into Civic for a family dinner on a Friday night.
