The restaurant had a terrible smell as we arrived. Asked the waitress what it was, and was told that it's the drains/sewage needing repairing. We had left it too late to rebook anywhere else for friends 60th birthday lunch, so went ahead hoping the smell wasn't throughout the restraunt, however, unfortunately, it was awful throughout. We couldn't eat our main course and left soon afterwards. Very disappointed. I've since contacted Harvester and had a reply from Manager, they apologised, saying that the problem is ongoing. I'm surprised that they hadn't shut the place down. Since then I've contacted head office and still awaiting a reply. I will never go there again, especially if the problem is ongoing.

Food was disappointing and felt ill that night and the next day. Horrible smell on our way through the restaurant like dirty bins the mens toilet was blocked and disgusting

Arrived early, 2 hours to early. It was no problem to the lovely lady, sorry, don't have a name, but tall,slim and there between 4-6pm. Meals can be hit or miss with Harvester but this one was good, very hot and very tasty and we informed thew staff of this. Well done all.

The horse and groom is a very local pub and restaurant to us so we use it quite a bit.we have always found the staff to be very polite and friendly.although at busy times some things are missing from the menu, last night was a very nice meal without too much waiting between courses Well done to carol and her team.

We made our booking 10 days before our lunch through Forks app for 7 people of our family. We got confirmation from Forks app and also got reconfirmation by Harvester but it is so disappointed no booking was found when we got there.

We know this restaurant so were confident in booking it for my sisters birthday meal. We were pleasantly greeted & seated quickly, our drinks order was relatively quickly taken & delivered, they were very busy. Our food order was taken & we partook of the salad bar, which was very good & well filled. Our meal came, very plentiful apart from my partners, he ordered scampi which was served on a bigger plate than mine & looked miniscule, in comparison, mine & my sisters were quite small plates & the food was overflowing. This being said the food was good. Sadly the service after was lacking, we waited ages before we could attract someone's attention to get our bill but I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Stopped on route to Wales. Had lovely dinner, staff were great. Our waitress Diane was so efficient and courteous. Couldn't fault the service. Would highly recommend.

Lovely food and lovely service as always. Great value for money as well. We always enjoy eating here definitely recommended it. Salad bar always so fresh.

Waitress lovely. The whole dining experience felt like we were running a race. I had a full salad bowl when my starter arrived not even got to the pork on starter when cod and chips showed up! Sat surrounded with three courses. Sat trying to hold a conversation with a 10watt light bulb shining in my eye.

Overall experience was marred by large party of travellers who were very loud (we asked to be moved) and according to some staff were VERY needy and took up a lot of their time. Hence the extra long wait for our meals even though we had 2 children with us, who were getting VERY hungry!! Our waitress (Nook) was super and apologised profusely for the delay and lack of fish!! Once the food arrived, it was well presented and tasty (apart from the chicken being a little overdone on the grill for the children)
