The room was cold. There was loud pop music playing, which spoilt the medieval atmosphere of this historic restaurant. The main meal was quite good, but the apfel strudel was a big disappointment; hard pastry and a very small piece.

Festive atmosphere like being in someone's dining room. Beautiful room. Good meal. We had the sausage, ribs and pork knuckle and we cleaned all 3 plates. Very satisfying. Completely packed with diners a sign of a good meal. It took a long time for food to come but the beer came fast and plantiful. They offered us schnapps seemingly on the house for the wait but alas it was a big uncharge. Don't fall for that.

We were so excited to find this place, but unfortunately the food was underwhelming, and the staff is overworked. My meal was overcooked to the point of being like an inedible and resembling a hockey puck the servers really wanted to be able to provide everyone with excellent service, but they were so short-staffed, and people just kept coming.

Great food, both my wife and I had versions of the pork knuckle and as a gentleman I helped her finish hers! Wow what portions and flavour, first class! We both loved the whole experience and will visit again next time we are in Cologne.

Hi We made reservations of 5 seats in advance; but when we arrived, the waiter bring us to the corner of the restaurant even though there is many empty space out there. We requested to change the seats; but the waiter won’t be very happy for the request… That is not a very happy experience. By Anderson

The moment when we went there early (18:00) we were well managed as a group. Closer to 20:0, drink order were taking considerably longer (up to 15-20 min) and service was not that good anymore.
