10/10My daughter and I visited Hayat as it was close to our hotel and did a general search on Tripadviser. The menu and reviews made for an interesting and hopefully great choice, and we were certainly proved correct. There is a love of making and serving great food that permeates this small and excellent restaurant. The service was professional and friendly, and being talked through ideas about the menu was all designed to enhance the experience. We had a starter and main course each along with soft drinks. In central London our bill was £55 including a service charge. Excellent value, delicious food and great service from staff who really care. We will be back.

8/10The food here is really good but it is let down by the service. They do not have enough staff to do everything. I booked but when my party arrived we were told there were no tables available. They got us a table in 10 minutes but our party of 5 was squashed onto a table for 4. The food came fairly quickly and was absolutely delicious but the waitress forgot to punch in my son's order which meant he started eating after we had all finished. It was his birthday and I brought a cake in. I gave it to the waitress, hoping she would light the candles and bring it to the table after our main course. When I asked for the cake, she brought it back to our table in the box with the candles still in its box. I had to ask for candles. This waitress was really nice so this review is more for the establishment. Get more staff and train them. Your food is good, why let it down.

4/10I'm questioning hygiene levels. Place looks generally unkempt, dirty cutlery on the table, had to ask for it to be replaced. Waitress lady had no clue about her job, she was unfriendly, unpleasant and unprofessional, the way she was communicating, carrying new glasses putting her finger inside them, not polite mannerism in general, not knowing about apps that customers use to make reservation and telling them off instead of clarifying with the manager first. Bathroom floor was very filthy. Food was pretty good though but I felt a bit weird in the stomach afterwards.
