There was considerable noise level at a large table nearby. The thought process of putting a small two person table near a large loud group was not correct! Food was fair. Steak overcooked as ordered medium rare. Overall not the best experience.

This is a very nice restaurant and seating area. Staff are attentive but the set menu has changed and price increased from my previous visits. The steak was superb but the half Lobster was very messy. I think the pincers should not be served as not so tasty and very crusty. Should go back to the cheaper menu of approximately £25 with a choice or dessert or champagne. Quarter Lobster and steak.

We had a fantastic night at the Helliot Steakhouse. Fabulous atmosphere, great food and excellent service - five ladies from Ireland out for the night. The only problem was that we couldn’t get tickets for Magic Mike ????

It was just okay - nothing special. Wine chosen (Chateau Musar) not available, they tried pushing a French Chateau Neuf du Pap and then settled what they originally mentioned a Malbec which was decanted away from the table. Pretty sure the wine served was not what I bought. Food okay, cooked a better steak at home. Ambiance no different from a Angus steak bar.

I had very specific dietary requirements and prefer food not cooked in rapeseed/vegetable/sunflower oil. But, it seemed, despite being a reputed kitchen, most of the stuff were pre-marinated/cooked and there was very little room for manoeuvre which was disappointing. Because of my health situation, I had to be careful and the menu was diverse enough to accommodate that but the cooking process was rather rigid and lacked flexibility. I am very grateful to the waitress, Patricia, who was very attentive and helpful. Would probably return for an American steak again in a year time.
