About the restaurant Hiramatsu - Hiroyuki Hiramatsu

"TOKYO - PARIS - Hiramatsu is the younger brother of the famous restaurant of the same name in Tokyo. It was born from a large group listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and a passionate chef who dressed French cuisine in its finery.

THE CHEF - 140 days a year in Paris, the Japanese chef Hiroyuki Hiramatsu considers France to be his second homeland. He discovered it through literature and through the cuisine of the chef Masa Kichi Ono, friend of Paul Bocuse, at the Hotel Okura in Tokyo.

IN THE DISH - fusion cuisine inspired by the two cultures for a perfectly balanced and surprising result: Pot-au-feu of duck foie gras and eels, Oriental-style supreme duckling from Challans."

Service was excellent & unobtrusive, the 5 course dinner was delicious from appetizer to dessert, we chose fish as the theme and the sea bass with mushrooms was delectable. The wine chosen with the help of the sommelier was delicious. It was not a full house so we could talk in normal voices and enjoy our surroundings. This is one of the best places we have eaten in Paris, even compared to he Maurice & others like it. Love it & will be back & will recommended without hesitation. Great value for the price.

We were impressed with the level of care and creativity in the food, and the way we were constantly surprised by different taste sensations. Although the cuisine was French, the Japanese influence was clear. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary so we had chosen this restaurant from many on the basis of reviews and value. The service was impeccable. Unfortunately, the place was almost empty, so the atmosphere was lacking. They need more publicity to get the word out.

We had a lovely evening with friends. Attentive service. Delicious dishes, interesting combinations - I would never think to put fish with red wine sauce but it worked. Recommend for a special evening out.

Every dish blew us away. The staff, from the hostess to the service staff, to the chef himself (who warmly and humbly came out to ask us how we enjoyed the meal), was kind in their manner, and impeccable in their service (their English was also well above average, only noticeable as a second language when trying to describe a certain obscure, if delicious, vegetable in one of the dishes). This needs to be a two star restaurant, no question.

Superb meal - a symphony of incredible flavors! This was our fifth time at Hiramatsu over the years from when it was on the Ile de la Cité to its current location in the 16th arrondissement.

We had an enjoyable dinner there last night, took the 9 course tasting menu priced at €115 each, we also had 3 glases of wines in total from their wines by the glass list ( which was good ) the restaurant was very flexible and acceeded to my request to forgo the fish from one of the main course choice for an extra helping of the seared foie gras. We will definitely eat here again the next time we are in paris even after we were told that Hiramatsu ( a true businesman like Alain Ducasse and Joel Robuchon who now runs restaurants around the world ) is no longer the chef and the kitchen is now taken over by the second chef!
