Fresh meals with an elegant presentation at very high level of French cuisine without the prices and hoitie toitiness of a M star restaurant. Wine list is mostly regional Alsatian with a few Bordeaux options.

Fantastic as always. We ate à la Carte. The appetiser, liver paté was delicious. The main Course, beef filet and the fish with risotto and asparagus was great. We shared a dessert, café gourmand and drank Gewürztraminer and a bottle of water. The service was excellent but the food was slow coming to the table but that was OK given that it was Easter Saturday and very busy. The Waitress was extremely friendly. It is not cheap but worth every cent.

wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff. While the staff did not speak much English, we were able to converse in German and one of the servers did her very best to explain the specials in English. The menu was translated into German and English - very helpful. Excellent food and presented very nicely

Fantastic food of the very best quality, friendly and fast service. This is a real gem in the centre of Wissembourg. It is not cheap, but for the quality of the food the price is certainly fair. We will be back !

The Hostellerie au Cygne sets the standard for a French country Inn in a small town. The setting for the establishment and the setting within the restaurant are exactly what you hope to find. Warm wood paneling with crisp white linens and professional staff. The menu is thoughtfully subtitled in German and English, the house aperitif and pils beer were very nice. Currently there is a warm foie gras appetizer that is generous and just crisp on the outside and light within. The lobster appetizer is fully prepared with companion salads on the plate. The beef dishes were outstanding cuts of beef, beautifully presented--one with a small Thai inspired beef/cilantro salad as the side. there was a fairly extensive wine by the 1/4 and 1/2 pitcher and some lovely wines by the bottle. The Cygne makes a very nice place to stay before or after a shopping day in Soufflenheim or the German wine strasse along the Rhine. This is just a little more than an hour's drive from Kaiserslautern.
