8.5/10The food was good. I got the steak just the right portion but could do with a bit more on the plate if I absolutely must be honest for the price. other than that the steak was perfectly cooked and tasted great. unfortunately the food menu did not match up exactly to what is on the the fork website. I actually wanted to have the cord fed chicken but when I went it was no where to be seen on the menu. I would surely recommend the cheese offerings they give you plenty to choose from. The atmosphere was nice and cute little spot, also a note to make if your a massive wine drinker this is the spot to go to drink and eat. I am not a wine drinker so I almost missed out on the offering here. but it was soo cool the range of wines they had and organised into what area of the world they come from. Was an amazing service waiters brought us a nice little cake with candle for the occasion.

6/10Some food was good but some dishes were very basic / not to the standard I would've expected. Service was quite slow.

10/10Halfway between the common and the railway station, this little restaurant nestles just on the edge of the common. It is warm and comfortable in feel, with dark woods, close, but not jammed tables, wine racks and bookshelves creating a welcoming snug / country-house library ambience. The food is delicious and, when asking to taste two wines, we were also recommended to try a third, which was a great choice and very enjoyable. Low key and attentive service rounded out a great experience … one to keep on the list.
