5.5/10Il Baldo is a traditional restaurant in a quiet street just off Perugia historical centre and in summer enjoys a quite nice eating out option, with the tables lined in an old, quiet and fresh street. The menu choice is fairly ample, both for restaurant and pizzeria, and the quality is OK, average without being neither exceptional nor bad: my carbonara was good while the pizza not so much. Price are again fair. Service is friendly but not entirely efficient.

7.5/10The food was 'good' not the kind I would return to but ok. The language barrier for example I wanted RED wine, but they brought WHITE, they fixed it but... We asked for Non sparkling water (in Italian) but they still brought the wrong water (see the image). Then after we were seated, a huge party came in and it got a bit chaotic.

10/10We arrived in Perugia after a long drive and we were hungry for some good food. We found Il Baldo online and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is tucked away on a side street which runs parallel to one of the busiest streets in the city and so it is easy to miss it. The service was very friendly and the waitress spoke excellent English. We had mozzarella sticks, ribs and risotto with asparagus and sausage, all of which were delicious. The prices are very reasonable too. We are very pleased that we found Il Baldo.

9.5/10My party of 9 with a variety of fussy palates all found dishes they could enjoy. The portions were generous, so many of us shared dishes. The waitress and server were gracious and accommodating, bringing extra plates. We cleaned our plates. Food was delicious. I would happily go back.

10/10I really enjoyed dinner here at the end of July. We went after a brief rainstorm, so the weather was thankfully cooled down a bit. We ate outside (they do have air conditioned interior, but when in Italy, seems like Al fresco is the way to go). We were greeted with smiling staff (kinda rare in my experience in Italian restaurants), and they gave us space to decipher the Italian menus (thanks Google Translate!). They checked on us, and a lady who was either owner or manager stopped by a couple times to smile/give advice/chat with my daughter. Food service was efficient; food was fresh and well prepared. Overall one of my daughter’s fave restaurants in Perugia.

9.5/10This restaurant is one of the best in Perugia. It s family run and the food is made with passion. The host was really friendly and this experience was a great start for our trip in Perugia

10/10The atmosphere was magical, the owner and her son were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the price are reasonable. Highly recommended to everyone who wants to taste traditional dishes at reasonable prices.
