9.5/10The menu at 55 euros per person was very nice. Very good ratiobetween originality and price. Good bottle of red wine for 25 euros.

5.5/10Restaurant view was the only spectacular thing about this restaurant. Our party was instructed that we all must order the tasting menu, or no one does seemed unusual. We opted for this, as it was Valentines day...the worst decision and waste of money from our entire trip to Italy. The tasting menu was eclectically disappointing. From a single dried up porchini mushroom and a crouton, floating on a dollop of foamed olive oil served in a sardine can to the black mess of crunchy risotto with raw squid that smelled like water extracted from the mouth of a catfish, the tasting menu was abysmal. We do give credit to the restraunt for the ever increasing laughter we felt with each course and it's excruciating ridiculousness. Shame on you, Michelin.

10/10What an amazing experience. We went for lunch to celebrate my son-in-law’s 30th birthday. The food was perfect, the wait staff attentive and friendly. We even had the restaurant to ourselves. Highly recommended

9.5/10Excellent and inspired food. Very interesting dishes revolving around the central and common red thread that olive oil represents. This young chef has a brilliant futur! Service was excellent, knowledgeable and polit. Very good wine list. I will be returning soon

9/10I have enjoyed every aspect of this culinary voyage. When in the region I’ll be back, back and back again. The warm welcome, knowledgeable staff, the setting in the garden, excellent paired wines everything beside the food was also memorable!

10/10Excellent food, huge wine list with a variety of prices, and excellent view over Assissi. This is a Michelin caliber restaurant, with the chef preparing creative twists on traditional italian food. We eat a lot in various Michelin star restaurants around the world, and Il Frantoio deserves to be rated. The foie gras wrapped in edible gold leaf was delicious, and all courses on the 7 course menu were excellent. Only slight disappointed was the rabbit and pepper pasta - a little too much vegetable inside, but the rabbit was superb. We want to go back already!!!

10/10Amazing food and service. Every dish was explained beautifully and accompanied with lovely olive oil. The dishes were modified as I am pregnant, with no prior notice. Definitely recommend

5.5/10Attractive restaurant with a lovely view. Amuse-bouches were clever and generous, and most were good. Pasta course with crispy pork cheeks excellent. Beef course, described as a "filet" was very disappointing. Despite being ordered medium rare, it was cooked well-done, and it was definitely not a choice cut of meat: not a filet mignon, which is what we expected. It looked and tasted like dry pot roast. The chef presented another beef dish by way of apology, and it was a better cut of meat, cooked super-rare. Very likely you'll get an excellent meal here, but don't order the "beef cube."

10/10Bellissima esperienza. Locale elegante, personale gentile e cucina sorprendente. Consiglio vivamente la “pasta al pomo d’oro”, nella sua semplicità un’esperienza unica. Conto appropriato.

6/10The environment is gorgeous, the welcoming drinks and food is very pleasant. We saw a lot of fabulous dish photos from The Fork, but we found much less dishes in restaurant, the waiter did not have time to have a basic menu presentation, we got a feeling that the service is quite cold .The dish is good but not charming.

10/10Everything was perfect! We spent the morning visiting St. Francis Basilica and headed up the hill just a bit to Il Frantoio. We had made reservations for 1:00 PM lunch and when we got there (worth the short walk) we were seated by the window. There was an amazing view of the hillside. It was a beautiful day so the terrace doors were open. Alberto took great care of us. We splurged and tried the local tasting fish menu which consisted of four dishes and we were not disappointed. My favorite was the cod fish entree but the ricotta dessert was also delicious. The entire experience combining great views, great food and great service made it special and memorable.
