Wonderful food, beautiful atmosphere, and excellent service, you’re going to be there awhile, but that’s part of the charm. Don’t be in a hurry. Just relax and enjoy the experience.

Very enjoyable evening with friends. All the courses were very tasty but would have liked to have had at least one course a salad or fresh vegetables. Perhaps one of the pasta courses could have been a fish course. Particularly enjoy the pork dish and goulash dish. Dessert was a biscotti style cookie with homemade cherry cordial. Tasty, but expected a more traditional dessert.

What a great meal, and tremendous value for money. We had looked for the restaurant during the day so we knew where to go, and it didn’t look very impressive, so we were not expecting much.
We chose the tasting menu at €25 a head. The meal started with 3 cheeses & 3 salamis with chilli marmalade & toasted bread. Next was a calamari risotto, then Orvieto with figs & ham, followed by seafood pasta. Next was a Prawn ceviche with lettuce in a lemon & chilli dressing. The last savoury course was a thin slice of pork in a plum sauce. We loved most of the dishes, but were less enthusiastic about 2 of them. The Orvieto were served cold & we would have preferred the dish to be hot. We’d never had a ceviche before and found the texture of the prawns to be quite different from when they are cooked normally & less to our taste. The dessert, which was extra, was cake served with fruit coulis.
If you are in Civitavecchia this is a must!

Absolutely the best dinner we had while in Italy. Extremely reasonable for the quality and the quantity of items served for dinner. Chef's menu (5 courses) + 2 bottles of an excellent Chianti wine for 40 Euro's per person including an extra 12 Euro tip. Highly recommended when in Chivitaveccia.

We dined at this restaurant with another couple staying at our hotel and taking the same Oceania cruise we were. The restaurant is very small and only a few of those tables were taken that night. The owner is the chef, chief bottle washer, server, and even drove us back to our hotel at closing time when we couldn't get a cab to come pick us up. He decides on the menu when he goes shopping in the morning so ingredients are all as fresh as they could be. We would be happy to have dinner at this restaurant the next time we are in Civitavecchia. The courses were all inventive and delicious.

We came here last year and loved it, as soon as we knew we were coming back we booked it again- and were happy we did. Let the chef/owner do his thing, you will have a wonderful meal/experience and will not be disappointed. (Don’t be in a hurray, it is an experience as much as a meal and it takes time). Love it.

The patron welcomed us very friendly and explained that he only offers a degustation menu.
We agreed and took pot luck. The food and the service were outstanding ... we will definitely come back!
