As soon as we walked in we were greeted as old friends. The food and wine menu was explained in great detail in English as we do not speak Italien. We had a starter of mixed cheeses and salami follwed by chicken with potatoes and tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce. The house red wine was super delicious and at the end of the meal we were given a rather large bottle of yummy limoncello to basically pour ourselves.... All in all a super sweet place with heart and soul!!!!
We happened to have dinner in this restaurant at the beginning of August 2019. We were on a five days visit to Verona and stayed not very far away from MangiaBottoni restaurant. The idea to have dinner there appeared largely under the influence of very good references found on the couple of Internet sites. We even booked a table several hours in advance. When we came there at 21:00 there were only two tables occupied by the customers (out of more than 20 without mentioning many tables at the terrace). The personnel were very friendly and polite, the place was clean, services were quick. Though the taste and quality of meat dishes that we ordered, as well as that speed at which they were served, clearly demonstrated that they went through microwave oven. We found it as a correct place to have meals, but in our opinion, it is certainly over-rated to qualify this restaurant as one of the most attractive places in Verona.
