About the restaurant Il Mangione

Very nice family lunch, with two families and five kids that’s never boring...
Nice pasta, meat dishes and decent wine. Price to performance really good.

The place is not well marked—the sign on the wall facing the street says Osteria. The name Is Mangione is written in the glass door, but the door was pegged open so we kept walking by until we realized it was the place. The food is wholesome, fairly priced, and the service more than accommodating. A much better experience and cost than eating in the Piazza del Campo where you end up paying for a view instead of good food.

Typical osteria, food was good although the veal with capers was not top. All in all, considering the reasonable prices, a nice place to go for an informal meal.

The place can be seen as strange and not convivial at a first look but it is definitively worth it ! Very good deal and nice people
