Excellent
Authentic northern Italian food, you can find dishes that are nor so common to find! we were guided to choose what was the best on the menu, good selection of Italian and portuguese wines (and beers) . Totally recommended! If you are into italian food you must try
Best pastas in town and the people are really nice. Recommend a lot!!
Perfect place for foodies looking for Northern Italy specialties. Authentic, sophisticated and affordable. Forget your average place where you order from a menu. The owner will let you know what's good.

Cozy. Real Italian pasta!
Fantastic, as always. One of the only genuine Italian restaurants in Lisbon, Il Monello never disappoints.
Fui, vi, saboreei, aprovei. Voltarei ????
Very good authentic food from Northern Italy in a very friendly atmosphere. We had a very enjoyable evening.
Very good food and amazing service by Simone and Luciano make of Il Monello an excellent choice. You feel like being served by very nice friends. The kind of place I really like to know and go. I will definitely go back.
Very good beef and starters, friendly service!
Genuin Italian. Friendly and informal atmosphere. Delicious food. Antipasto, pasta and dolce. We really hit the bulls eye. Popular - reservation is necessary.
Excellent food, great service. A real Italian experience.
Very nice food and service !!
The pasta was quite good, but the service was a bit chaotic and the noise level too high (the place was full on a Sunday evening). And there are multiple items on offer but not listed, and thus with no indication of prices: the antipasti, the wine (apparently very limited choice) and the deserts.
Excellent food and waiters!
Italiano Vero.
Very authentic Italian restaurant; fresh pasta and warm friendly service. Very accommodating to kids!!! Happy to have found this place during our holiday stay!
This restaurant situated in Campo Pequeno district offer classic Italian menu's and added to it also sympathy of Italian Welcoming! I will return again, to tasty again their food, but mostly tiramisu that I do not have occasion to taste when I went. It is recommend to anyone wants to tasty Italian food.
The issue is not so much the food, but the way things are proposed. When arriving we are told they don't have a fixed menu and offers vary, which is fine. Nevertheless we are presented with a written menu to look at. When choosing however, half of the proposed dishes are not available, others needed to be checked with the kitchen as it was not sure they were still available. So why present us a card at all? It would be so much better just to ditch the written menu, present a blackboard written daily, with the dishes proposed, so no expectations for something that finally is not there. Also, no list of wines. This at least could be a steady one with offers proposed. The owners try to do their best, playing perhaps a bit too much the "Italian improvisation" tune. It's a pity because the quality of the food could be there, although we found it a bit too expensive.
Perfect.
