Very loud music and very loud diners / drinkers who seemed to know the staff which meant they ignored other diners. Thought of walking out as soon as we walked in and later wished we had. Won’t go there again

Vegetables were inedible. The carrots looked as though they were had been frozen, but the staff said they were fresh. If they were, they were fresh out of a tin.

Fantastic meal as always. I live the staff, they are so friendly and welcoming g and look after you really well. My friend and I took my 6 year granddaughter for a treat and she loved it. Brilliant food and fantastic wine. Can’t recommend enough.

We had an amazing meal …… the food the service was amazing our server was so lovely I’m annoyed I’ve forgotten her name she was very slim with dark hair beautiful girl we can’t wait to come back we live in Motherwell but worth the journey

Overall we enjoyed our experience but.....when not ordering pizza or pasta be very aware that mains literally come with no sides at all, no veg/salad no potatoe/fries nothing at all then you'll pay £6 a head for the privilege of having a complete meal. I was also disappointed that the desserts are not homemade! The food was excellent and the service very friendly and professional but when your paying £26 for a steak you expect a little more than some chives and a wedge of lemon! Overall 3* for the price 4* for the quality and service.

The restaurant setting is nice and service was good - smiley staff. Food quality was average. The sirloin steak was tough, even for the steak knife and the grilled chicken was too dry. The mixed veg side dish tasted like frozen vegetables to me.

Food great except for the octopus. Was like eating rubber. If you are going to add this as a special the chef needs to know how to cook it. Apart from that meal was great.

Really lovely service, looked after my mum. Well cooked fish. The restaurant is close to the main shopping street so easy to stop by. Toilets are upstairs so be aware if you have disabilities

I booked Il Pescatore for a lunchtime treat, for my husbands birthday. We loved the fact that it was an authentic Italian, family-owned restaurant, rather than a franchise. The ambience was lovely and we loved the music. The service was really friendly and our waitress even put a candle in the Tiramasu for us. We will definitely be recommending this restaurant to our friends and will be coming back.

Amazing italian restaurant with lovely stuff and even better food. Food was visually appealing and melting in mouth. This was our second time coming trying new food from menu each time. Will come again!

It's still there, 20 years since I lived in the area and was good to see it's still in the same place. Restaurant looks a little different but food still great and staff still nice and friendly. Hope it's not quite so long 'til I get there again!
