Our meal was absolutely exquisite - we opted for the 7 course and sadly had to miss out on one of the courses due to being too full but the flavours and textures were bang on! The view and sunset is out of this world! We had a fabulous meal!
The "order of Courses" was too fast, so is was a very quick dinner.
Exceptionally attentive service and welcome. Vegetarian tasting menu was excellent; imaginative and flavoursome. My only suggestion for improvement is that the associated wine pairing seemed to be more in tune with the fish menu rather than the vegetarian menu. We would have liked more balance through the inclusion of some red wines, rather than solely white, especially for the dishes where cheese is a key ingredient. I raised this at the time, and it was promptly addressed by the sommelier. Overall, a memorable and highly enjoyable meal.
We had a wonderful dinner at Il Piccolo Principe. Outstanding meal, both in taste and presentation. The service was very attentative and we felt well looked after. The atmosphere was magic on the rooftop this warm summer evening. We certainly will remember this dinner for a very long time!
Fantastic dining experience in a picturesque setting. A memorable meal. If you try the tasting menu, pace yourself! It’s a huge amount of delicious food.
We expected a lot more from this restaurant, after having beautiful meals in Toscana so far in our travels. Some of the dishes were directly boring flavourwise while a few were good. However for that price I could easily recommended so many other restaurants which give provide a better food experience for 1/4 th of the price... service and view was perfect- but food was dull.. and waaay too pricy, even for Michelin starred restaurant..
Everything was exceptional from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The food was heavenly.
Incredible service from start to finish. No detail was left unnoticed or overlooked. Allow the chef to take you on a culinary tour, and you will not be disappointed. Even the finger food accompanying the apperatif was absolutely delicious. We were so honored to share an evening with Il Piccolo Principe, and I would highly recommend a stop in Viareggio to visit the welcoming staff and to enjoy a unique culinary experience.
Chef Giuseppe Mancino really knows his craft. This was a truly unique and decadent experience. We opted to let the chef select our courses, and we were blown away. The textures and flavor of each of the selections felt special and personal. This was unlike any dining experience we'd had before. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. We felt like royalty!
We made the reservation to celebrate my birthday dinner, my girlfriend called without knowing requested to have Champagne on arrival at the table as surprise and a small cake, which by end of the dinner I was so desapointed to find out and realise none of the requests were brought to the table, i had just a candle in my dessert ( in a sorbet :)) which I have ordered... Further to my second point I would like to make everyone aware who is expecting two Michelin stars food will be very desapointed, as from my experience this doesn’t deserve two stars recognishen, food is tasteless, no seasoning, poor plating, no wow factor as you would expect from 2 stars...
The service was excellent! The dining room was dated a bit, and although in the dishes the proteins were cooked perfectly, we felt that the tasting menu was quite heavy with very large portions. We felt that the wines could have been better matched to the dishes. Overall we enjoyed the dinner but were not "blown away".
Fantastic time!!! Would defiantly recommend a visit????????
The food was sensational and the service was quick, efficient and very informative. A wonderful experience and thoroughly recommend it (but it is very expensive). The location is perfect with a roof top view over to the sea and mountains.
Review on restaurant IL Piccolo Principe. Welcomed with warm friendly smiles, the food however in my opinion not the standard of a 2 Michelin Star restaurant. I found most dishes was bland and lacking flavor, Food techniques were qui We had the 10-course surprise menu. For Amuse Bouche a hard dry steamed bun was served, and the cracker was stale. The raw prawn taco was very tasty. Dishes that followed was rather bland, my favorite dish was the Scampi. I also got served a dessert loaded with peanuts after informing them of my nut allergy... ???? Will I recommend this restaurant, probably not...
