First a couple of quick tips: 1) Making reservations on-line with The Fork not only assured us a table but gave us 20% off our bill as well. 2) The restaurant is located within the Grand Hotel Tamerici and Principe, and the bill for the meal is settled at the check-in counter. We were the first to be seated at 7:30 PM on a Saturday night. At least 3/4 of the restaurant’s available seating is indoors; there was an outdoor patio near the pool with tables, but despite the mild weather no one was seated outside. Service was good, and our main waiter spoke English well. Between us we started with a spinach flan which was served with a cheese sauce (5), and al dente spaghetti in a spicy sauce (4). My wife ordered roasted vegetables (4) and I had the sea bass with olives, tomatoes, onion ones and potatoes (4). We finished up with a mousse torte (4) and panna cotta (5). The total for our lovely meal with a liter of bottled water would have been €84, but was €67.20 with The Fork discount. By the time we finished up eight other tables had been seated: One other table spoke English, and all the rest spoke Italian. Knowing that locals eat there certainly says more than our hearty recommendation!
First, the Fork app does not properly locate the restaurant properly. It's about 250 meters off. My steak was overcooked, tough and tasteless. My wife's salmon was very good. The seafood salad was excellent. The staff did go out of its way to be helpful
Gorgeous! Secluded setting which felt like a private garden. Candelit with subtle background music. Broad menu with a good range of options. Maitre d''s recommendations were excellent. We had a whole fish of the day which was filleted and served at the table with great skill. Overall, would highly recommend. Thank you!
