10/10The food here is akin to fine dining. Poached tartufo eggs , duck and bacala cheesecake was cooked to perfection. The cheesecake desert was delicate and delicious.

6.5/10Il Pozzo is a nice place but not a special environment. The interior does not fit the look of this medieval town. The eggplant Parmesan appetizer was excellent. My wife had a bland tomato based soup. I had the Bistecca steak which while tasty had quite a bit of fat that I had to cut away. Good not great

10/10Food was lovely presentation and taste. We lunched al fresco on their terrace...were fully entertained by the Moor clanging his bell. Had smokers near us. The staff asked us if we were bothered we said yes so they them to move outside the terrace to smoke. Well cared for and inside is also beautiful...easy access smack in the middle of Montepulciano. FYI a large table of japanese arrived with a wheelchair and all mobilized to accommodate. English spoken well.

8.5/10Great food. Servers were nice- but totally forgot about us. We asked for a dessert menu after dinner. Took awhile but they brought one. Then they Never came back. After 30 minutes I went inside and paid the bill. All else was great

5.5/10Having planned to visit Montepulciano, I looked up restaurants and chose this one, as the menu looked good and the overall impression was of a better than average restaurant in a tourist town. First impression was of a depressing little garden i front with a half dead box hedge, where we were all expected to sit. Worse to come, just a summer light lunch menu available. Food was ordinary and fairly limited selection. Wine list was better, obviously designed for more upmarket dining. Why don't they state clearly on their website that summer menu is totally different from that on the website?
