It’s a restaurant full of tour groups, and the service and food were both average. Not bad, but I definitely could recommend many better places to eat in Madrid.

The welcome, service and food were all excellent and the price of the meal was very reasonable, especially for a city centre venue. My daughter and I loved it and would highly recommend. The ‘not paella, paella’ was delicious. We came to Madrid to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. She asked to go to a tapas restaurant as she wanted to try Spanish cuisine. Thank you so much for giving her such a positive and tasty experience.

Off the beaten path. Worth the journey there. Was not a only a history lesson in Ramón del Valle-Inclán (whom as an American I have never heard of) but an experience in progressive Spanish tapas. There is a reason this was listed as the best Spanish restaurant in Madrid on trip advisor. I am still bragging about that smoking tuna boat and the beet gazpacho! Easy to book. Welcoming. Charming quirky décor. The waitress was also very attentive to our opinions on the dishes- one of which was comp'ed due to us not preferring it. The cocktails are a neuve take on old classics. Thank you for the experience.

The food was great. We wanted a traditional Spanish meal and had paella and sangria. They make the paella to order, so it’s takes about 20-25 minutes. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our waitress Angelica was very personable and the hostess stopped by our table several times to check on us and spent time answering questions. It was great.

Definitely worth a stop on a trip to Madrid. While the setting resembles a student pub in the most touristy part of the city, the food is anything but basic: delicious, creative (even snarkily clever at times), well-prepared dishes that wouldn't be out of place in a Michelin-listed location. Perfectly competent, friendly service. Great value for money.
