We had dinner at this place after having a terrible experience at another restaurant on the same street. We were lucky to find a place immediately as we arrived on a saturday early evening. The service was quick, food was delicious. I had Salmon Curry (fish of the day) with rice.:Excellent taste .Husband had lamb korma, I do not like korma but he said it was delicious. Servants were also very helpful to choose, decoration is ok but could be more authentic for Indian cuisine. We might go back again. As of price, it was ok, not very very expensive but not cheap either.

As always, service was prompt and very friendly. This time we decided not to take the Mullygatwany Soup or the Tandoori Chicken Tikka, our favorite dishes. We went for the mixed starters, which turned out to be very interesting (why have we not tried this before?) and tasty, and our main course was the prawn curry (mild version) with lemon and coriander, with smoked aubergine as side dish. Wow! Simply delicious! excellent! And the taste of the prawn does not disappear under the curry. And as often before, the portions are very large (too large actually). Compliments to the chef. We'll certainly come back for the prawns and aubergine! And the rest.

Food was good but service was really slow. We had to wait really long before the food was on table. We ordered some lamb curries which were actually good .

Very busy touristic restaurant. Food was poor. Had curry lamb, the meat was very dry an smelled not fresh. Chapati was very tuff. Staff was friendly but couldn't make it right anymore. Overpriced for what u get.

Me being the lover of Indian food, tried this Indian restaurant on an evening when we planned to go for a movie in Pathe. We were in a hurry and also communicated to the service staff about this. Still we had to rush to finish our food to catch the movie. The food was not at the optimum temperature and the taste was very average. I wish them all the best.

Hands down the Best Indian food to be had in Amsterdam! Delicious, Pure, fresh, authentic Indain cuisine cooked from the heart. The way "perfect" food should make you feel: content, nourished and energized. For starter dishes: their home-made pumpkin and Dal soups are superb, as is the "shiva special" (a selection of all their starters). Some favourite meat dishes here: butter chicken, lamb Vindalu (spicy!) and the fish Makahni with panga filet. For vegetarians: the dal tarka is fantastic, as well as the Saag Panir, Baigan Bharta, Panir Butter Massala and Vegetable Korma dishes in particular. The ambiance is peaceful, cozy, and inviting. Suitable for people dining on their own, couples, families and small groups. The service is friendly and attentive. As with all Indian food that is freshly prepared, keep in mind it takes time to prepare! I come here multiple times a month for either take away, or to dine in...the food is addictive.
