Old Brussels. Lovely place, great food, good service
Mussels Maison, rabbit, salmon, venison burger were all excellent. Not crowded with tourists. Good beer selection. Reasonably priced for Brussels!
Charming restaurant, quiet with atmosphere
Cosy flemish brown-cafe-type restaurant sufficiently off the beaten track to feel like a real hidden gem
Nice atmosphere and service but quite expensive for the quantity...
Nice dinner. Very nice staff.
This restaurant received rave reviews on Trip Advisor, and had piqued my interest with the combination of great entrees and great beer selection, including spots where the two were combined. The first dish was the scallops with Rochefort sauce. Trappistes Rochefort is one of my favorite beers, so I was excited about the possibilities here. The sauce was a bit heavy for the delicate flavor of the scallops, however. The second dish was pork tenderloin with Gouden Carolus sauce. This combination worked better, but the pork was a bit overcooked and chewy. The dessert was the highlight of the evening, featuring profiteroles: cream puffs, stuffed in this instance with ice cream and covered with hot fudge sauce and whipped cream. I would recommend this restaurant to others. I did notice they were doing a smash-up business in mussels, but I had already enjoyed those on another occasion on this trip, so I opted for something else.
Amazing people. We had a wonderful waiter and the food was real home made Belgian food. I grew up here and I can’t think of a better place to come with friends and family for a genuine delicious Belgian experience with really the best staff.
Authentic Belgian cuisine in a very pleasant ambiance.
