Amazing basque food. My steak (txogitsu) was absolutely amazing. Desert (mix of tiramisu/crema Catalan-don’t remember the basque name) was phenomenal (probably had a gazillion calories but absolutely worth it). Thing to be aware of: you can’t have tapas in the taverna (tapas looked really good but we couldn’t try them)

Disappointed! Ordered the hake fillet with sauce. The fish was raw in the middle and I mean really raw! Told the waitress, she took it back to to kitchen and returned in a new plate. All they did was to scoop out the undercooked bits and patch it all together best the could. It was cold ( room temperature) and messy. paid 26e for the privilege of eating cold undercooked fish with creamed potatoes. The rest was ok . Tuna tartare was good but I have eaten better ones in barcelona. The Pate' was also average. The Seafood ravioli (probably just dark crabmeat) not for my taste and I do love seafood. The bread was good. Expensive and not worth the money.

This place was recommended by a friend. Food was excellent! We had just come from San Sebastian and the meal was true to the famous Basque style food. The tomato salad was so good we ordered two. The bread was the best bread we had on our entire trip. Stuffed crab was great and so were the peppers and fish. Service was outstanding as well. One of our favorite meals on our 2-week trip, highly recommend!

Website and write-up were misleading. They focus on front part/pixhtos and not on the actual restaurant. We were the only ones in the back restaurant at 10:30 pm on a Friday night. Food was luke warm and small portions. Got charged for 3 glasses of wine when we barely had two because she poured a half glass and then topped it up. Saw numerous people leave the back to move to the front because they didn't want full meals. Not at all what I was expecting - did not live up to expectations.
