10/10What a find ! Puts beachside and “upmarket “ diners to shame. Everything first class and at sensible prices. This place deserves supporting and we’ll definitely be back to do our bit. 👍

8/10Nice restaurant - good (typical) Italian selection for everyone. Could do with a bar for pre-dinner drinks and cocktails - plenty of room and nice air con. Will defo go back.

6/10Been here lots of times but last night they seem to be understaffed and so it took a long time to offer drinks and also the food order and when the food came there were items missing. The server wasn’t good at speaking English so it was difficult and the food came at different times also. My husband wasn’t well after we got home so all in all disappointing sorry Italian republic

9/10A positive and welcoming environment, light and airy and well presented. Service is friendly, informative and efficient without being in your face or too salesy. The varied menu of typical Italian Classics are realistically priced and nothing was too much trouble. Tomato and onion side salad not on the menu was provided without any difficulty or insistence, yes of course we can! Perfect. We really loved it, we went as the usual Italian in Santa Barbara de Nexe has now been sold and is owned by French owners who have a mixed Italian and other Mediterranean options which did not excite. A 10mm thick tuna steak there was tasteless. The food at Italian Republic was good sized portions and extremely tasty. It’s on our list now whenever we are here in the Algarve!

9.5/10Excellent restaurant, food was absolutely delicious, recommend the crostini and tomato soup starters, pizza was light and crispy base with generous toppings and cod and spinach risotto was delicious. Best value meal we have had and we definitely will be back.

6/10Restaurant is lovely inside. Staff were great. Food however is very average. Pizza’s aren’t really pizza’s, they aren’t made with pizza dough, just cheese and tomato paste on white wraps. lasagne is also not really layered like a lasagne with pasta and was swimming in some kind of cheese sauce. Had a bruschetta to start and was just halved tomato’s and diced olives, with dried basil sprinkled over. Very disappointed. I could have made better myself.

10/10This Italian restaurant has a good range of dishes on offer at reasonable prices. Their wine list is also very good. The service was attentive but not intrusive, the food was very good quality, and I will definitely be going back.
