A very good dinner and an attentive service
The quality of the food was unfortunately a big disappointment. We had high expectations because of the michelin star. Because of this it was very surprising that the simple fish and meat dishes they served were quite tasteless, and some of the more imaginative attempts were just plain bad. Perhaps they had a really bad day, as I can’t imagine this menu would have yielded a star.

Toute l'âme du Pays basque se découvre dans ce beau logis du XVIIe ouvrant sur la place d'Aïnhoa, un des "plus beaux villages de France".
D'abord parce que c'est sur cette place qu'on joue à la pelote basque ensuite parce que la famille Isabal, père et fils aux fourneaux, y perpétue la tradition culinaire régionale. Des plats à savourer dans une salle à manger typique montrant tomettes à chevrons et portes en bois sculptées.
Autres atouts du lieu : son parc avec jardin, potager et superbe piscine, fitness et sauna pour la détente, et des chambres impeccables meublées d'époque avec vue sur les toits du village...
