10/10Upmost quality of ingredients, high levels of technical skill on display, well designed flavour combinations and attractive presentation. The monkfish was sublime, such as the raspberry themed dessert. Service was excellent and highly professional.

10/10This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. We did the tasting menu which was to die for. Highly recommend this place for a celebration or a lunch out with friends and family.. Cannot wait to be back.

9.5/10A magnificent example of classic French preparations with a Normand influence. Delicious at every step. First class service, sensational ingredients and flavors. Flawless wine pairing. An exceptional restaurant.

6/10Food was excellent. By far the best in Caen. Service on the other hand was really bad. Seemed to lack commmunication between wait staff and kitchen. 3 out of 5 times food arrived before wine. Forcing us to choose between cold food or wine with the food. Once we asked if it was okay to leave the table to go outside, got an okay from the waiter who then served the hot dish while we were still outside and yet again had to fetch the wine pairring for the dish. At 180 € pr. person one would expect better service and not once did we experience the same at two of the other high end restaurants in Caen we vistited prior to Ivan Vautier.

9.5/10A totally excellent experience…the food was delicious, our waiters were incredibly attentive, the bursts of flavors were worth the entire trip in itself, hats off to this restaurant (and the hotel as even breakfast in our room the next morning continued to prolong the pleasure…) our favorites: celery rave with sauce morilles …asparagus tweaked with raspberry ketchup…flaky melt in the mouth fish, the wines were heavenly…and strawberry jam over homemade vanilla cake the next morning…sooooo glad we went!

10/10We were blown away by the quality of food and service at Ivan Vautier. Superb value for money for what we received. Great ambiance and food not only tasted amazing but the plating and presentation was fantastic. Kudos to the team.

9.5/10Great service, tables well spaced apart, very tasteful food and elaborate presentation. The decoration of the dining room was fine but not at the level of the dish. The menu "trust the chef" is both good and affordable.

7.5/10Food was simply amazing -- truly memorable. Service on the other hand was at best amateur-hour. Perhaps our experience reflected anti-American prejudice and service would have have been fine had we been French instead of American.
