10/10The staff were really freindly and welcoming, the food was fantasic and the place was comfortable and fun. Go go go - I had the jerk chicken and plantain(never tasted plantain as good as this!) both were hot and delicious. Enjoy : )

7/10Food was great. Healthy portions and really flavoursome. The server was polite but busy and took time to catch attention especially as the desk faces the door and not the customers inside. Ambience could have been better - for example the music that was being played downstairs could be heard upstairs but it would have been better if the same tunes were played in the restaurant itself rather thank hearing them secondhand, Will definitely return and am glad I ignored some of the more negative reviews and tried Joyce’s out.

3/10Poor customer service. Usual for most Caribbean establishments but those ones usually have good food. This on the other hand… this was really bad. Waited over 10 minutes before the front of house staff spoke to us. Didn’t have a system for tables booked. Food was bland bland bland. Browning and tough meat. No onion, no garlic, no scallion. One piece of thyme in the rice. Even the steam cabbage was bland. No salt not even a pinch of black pepper. Then they charge over £2 for a can drink that is 59-70p in the corner shop. One napkin provided with the meal. On top of this, we were FORCED to pay a 10% gratuity charge! They would not remove this. Will never return.

2/10It was a horrible experience,bad service,i waited 20 mins for a tea then she returned and says it out,and alot was nt on the menu ans good pattie was nt fresh and blend.shrimp curry was disgusting,rice and peas dry n yuk. They just celebrities pics to lure customer in but never again.

8.5/10Very friendly reception, service relaxed. Food was great, though the curry goat a bit salty. Very unpretentious, WYSIWYG place. I'll be back.

3/10Unfortunately we will not be going back and I suggest that no one else bothers either. The place was quiet and now I know why. Downstairs in the kitchen the food was left on the side in Tupperware next to the microwave, so I can’t tell you whether or not the food was fresh or just reheated. The food was average, not a lot of flavour. But the main reason I have taken the time to give this score and write this was because of the service. Or lack of. The service was so terrible, the one waitress that was working wasn’t aware of the two tables she had in the restaurant and had her back to us the whole time. At the end I asked to take off the service charge (which I NEVER do), and she outright refused, and questioned why. To which I politely replied that we didn’t want to pay, and we’re not obliged to pay it. She refused to take it off and we ended up having to pay the service charge. 1. If the restaurant relies on service charge to pay their staff then they need to include that in the price of the food. 2. If the service was decent then I would have been happy to pay it and leave it at that. She then became incredibly rude towards us, and acted as if she didn’t understand, when she very much did. Absolutely shocking service and below average food. Very disappointing, I’ll be recommending that everyone stay away from here, save your money and support better, kinder small businesses

2/10The restaurant was marked as open here and on Google maps. Made a reservation and received a confirmation only to find the restaurant closed. A waste of time.
