Excellent food.... we actually went on Saturday at 6:30 pm and the restaurant was full. After insisting they gave us a table but told us the table was booked for 8:00 pm. We took the table and along with the good service, the food was good and fresh.... we saw the big vegetable basket being brought inside :) As we spoke in French, the waiter used the few french words he knew and the co-owner came to talk to us too in French. A pleasant personalized service.

The special rice dinner was good, but not great. I was somewhat disappointed because I remember having a rice dinner in the Dutch West indies and it was wonderful. The service was nice.

We had a wonderful dinner! The young man who served us (sorry, I did not get his name) explained the dishes with the utmost patience and made some delicious recommendations. We would not hesitate to return on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Menu 2 was a perfect, hearty sampling of meats, vegetables and seafood. It was our first Indonesian experience and we'll definitely have it again!

This is the place I would definitely come back whenever I have chance to visit Amsterdam. Food is just awesome! Spring roll with crayfish, vegetables and fried banana for desert are unforgettable. Atmosphere is warm but really stylish. People were so nice and they offered me Indonesian coffee, which was perfect after dinner. You should make a reservation in advance.

Appetizer was very good (chicken soup). The rice table was tastey. A good way to try different types of Indonesian food. The watermelon sorbet was a good finish to 'put' out the spicy fire :). Indonesian food, like many asian delights is a bit spicy (and can probably be even more if you ask) so keep that in mind. The waitors were excellent even while the restaurant was full. Very friendly and helpful. A nice choice in a quiet neighborhood of Amsterdam. Personally a much better choice then the options in the center since you have a very quiet meal and in a very quiet district.
