10/10My husband and I had a lovely dinner after a wonderful day touring Amsterdam. The restaurant is in a central location within the nine shopping streets. We shared edamame and a few rolls, shrimp tempura with mango, salmon avocado, and spicy tuna. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

10/10This place is a pearl in the city. I live two minute walking from here and want to eat at places that make me feel at home, so I go here. Service and quality of the food are of a caliber that makes me at ease. This is a scarce resource around here. Kagetsu is precious.

10/10I really enjoyed the Japanese atmosphere and the quality of the food. Very close to the real japanese food. We had udon soup and it was really good! The price is in line with Amsterdam price around 30 euro per person for starter, udon and drink. Recommended.

8/10Had a nice meal with friends and it's wasn't too busy so it wasn't too loud. However as it was quiet, it meant we had to keep calling the waiting staff when we wanted to order something, not a big deal but more so you are aware. Staff were friendly, food was good except for the tori karaage, didn't like that as much.

3.5/10The reastaurant did not register our reservation and we had to wait for the table to be free. Afterward (15 mins?) we ordered, the waiter didn’t tell us anything about availability, they brought the drinks and some appetizer and they told us that basically ALL the dishes we chosed were unavailable, We had to pay full price for the stuff they brought and we left,,, looking for a better restaurant. Avoid it, there is so much choice in Amaterdam.

8/10Super tasty food, however the service was mediocre: when we finished our food it took long to take our empty plates, same with drinks and not being asked if we wanted new drinks. The music was just top40 hits but with saxophone covers, really distracting and not adding to the ambience.

2.5/10Poor service . Very long waiting time . Waited 30 min to get our drinks served only to be told that they don’t have the drinks available (green tea). Never heard of a Japanese restaurant without green tea. We left without ordering. Not recommended.

4.5/10The menu says king crab California role. As this is rare i double check. Sadly the fake fish crab sticks show up instead. That spoils the rest. Uncomfortable chairs.

6/10The food itself was fine, the service was too slow, it took forever to clean the tables and the prices were quite high. I reserved a table hours before and we got the worst table and just by asking got a better one after half an hour. It feels like this place aims for customers who are just coming once and then never again.
