We enjoyed a very good vegetarian menu for 2 people. Great taste of food. Nice and friendly waiters. Clean toilets. Papertowels to dry hands were missing. We will come back here again.

Met AH-actiebon gegeten. Lekker pittige Dalsoep. Prima tent, midden in gezellige Red Light District.

We were a little concerned when we arrived and saw they had only one other table, but we're very impressed by the friendly reception and service! Food was so authentic and very delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed it!
We would go back and highly recommend it!

Went to this restaurant with 2 friends (from India). I tried to ignore the bad reviews here after hearing it was popular with Indian-locals.There were ups and downs but overall, we left very unsatisfied.
The onion bhaji were flat and amazingly greasy. The flavor was ok though there seemed to be a ketchup-y tinge to them. Veg samosas - The pastry was thick as it should be but the filling was tasteless.
Onto the mains. The chicken biryani had the exact flavor we were all hoping for. Perfect with the spices. Little heat. Loved all that. But… it seemed as though it were a day old. The chicken was dry and some pieces of the rice were hardened. The korma was too sweet. The paneer in it on the other hand, was very nice. The dahl was like eating a bowl of water. No taste whatsoever. I struggle to even think how to make something so tasteless.
Highlight of the meal, the tikka masala. This was masala as I’ve had it in India, my friends agreed. Delicious.
As for breads, alloo paratha, was alright. We suspect the garlic nan was also made the day before along with the biryani.
For desserts we shared the patialla and kulfi. Details not necessary anymore but, they weren’t good. And were 5 euro each!
Regarding interior and service – setting was fine. Nothing special. Nothing bad about it (except the crappy music playing on the tv). We were greeted by a very friendly lady on our arrival. Though unfortunately we had to deal with a miserable man as our server thereafter. He seemed mad at anything. Dropping spoons while picking up the dishes that splattered food across the table and never cleaning it up. Slamming down our bag of leftovers. The way he spoke and took our orders was not in the least bit professional. We were being very polite yet he was obviously not going to change his attitude. I’ve dealt with less than perfect service in Amsterdam before but this was a first of someone who obviously hates his job. I suppose the majority of their customers are tourists, which is why there is this 'don't care if you never return' kind of attitude. I was one of the unfortunate locals that wandered in there.
I found the prices to be very high in comparison to nearly any other Indian restaurant I’ve visited before in this city.
To sum up: I’ll never go back there and don’t recommend it to anybody!!!!
