All menus were creative and inspiring. Well balanced UMAMI taste doesn’t require much amount of sugar and salt, but full of satisfaction. We really loved it.
An elegant restaurant with attentive service and delicate, subtle food. An entree of perfectly poached eggs topped with earthy summer truffles, and served in a martini glass, was sublime.
Worth a Michelin star!
We had the menu degustation « Japonice » with excellent and very creative dishes. Great wine list with good quality bottles at acceptable prices.
Grand moment culinaire
The lunch menu was as we have found on previous visits, beautifully prepared, tasty and interesting and all at a very fair price. This time, our waiter was uncommunicative and hardly said a word, although the actual service of dishes and drinks was efficient. He did not welcome us at all. We did wonder whether he spoke either French or English at all or was feeling very unhappy for some reason. However, we did not let this detract from the nice meal in a congenial setting. We would go again.
Food was pretty good, high end, small portions, but we had better tasting food for much less money in Paris. Waiters were friendly, but Service was surprisingly slow and not very attentive, waited at least 15 mins before anyone offered us menu or water.
Keisuke, a really institution in Nice since 15 years, but hey, what a disappointment now!!! We have been guests nearly 20 times at restaurants from Keisuke (mostly in his former 1*star Michelin restaurant), but now we know, why he don't have get no Michelin star yet. And we don't know, why he ist still listed in the Michelin Guide of 2019!!! A very unambitious service at lunch. No asking for an aperitif, no asking for a sweet wine for dessert. No asking from the overcharged service team. The entree (St. Jacques) was an unambitious meal with a taste nothing at all. The timing was very bad between the courses and too long for lunch break. It lasts in total 105 minutes for a 3-course meal. We have been ordered the compagnion with two glasses of wine + cafe. Oops, what really happens here? Two lousy wines (a pigato in white :-( and a rossese in red from Linguria!!! Nothing to do with good wines from this area in Italy. Unremarkable!!! The value for money = NO! A star is really falling deep!!!
The food was amazing, we enjoy every dish
Great food, awesome experience. Really enjoyed it! Tuna with figues is definitely my favorite dish from now on! Service was excellent, very nice and polite.
Great find! Food was amazing. Also loved the cozy setup and perfect service. Especially loved their seafood carpaccio dish - one of the best I’ve ever had!
Minimalistic decoration; very quit, no music so that people can enjoy their food and talk to one another. Friendly staff. The chef comes around to greet the guests. The food is EXCELLENT, fresh and with an innovation in the way it is presented and cooked. It will help you to taste a higher level cuisine. To prevent the chair legs to make a scraping nouse on the floor, they should be covered by felt and the telephone , which rings quite often, should be put in another place
Wonderful restaurant. Cozy atmosphere with great service and friendly staff. Food was wonderful from the appetizers to the desserts. It’s essentially French with very subtle hints of Japanese flavor. An absolute delight
As always, a magical combination of excellent ingredients, perfect cooking, beautiful presentation and friendly helpful service.
We've been to Keisuke Matsushima twice before, each time with excellent quality both with regards for the food and the service. This time we had the 8-course set menu, and it was indeed a disappointment. Combinations of produce, flavours and taste that were nowhere near our previous experiences. So when the service also was uninspired and impersonal, our conclusions is - I'm sorry to say - never again.
Very good food in a pleasantly cool restaurant. A very quiet restaurant with no background music, which does lack atmosphere somewhat. However, the staff are experienced and attentive.
Superb delicious 3 course lunch. Generous serves and delicate presentation. Staff were friendly and professional
The food wasn’t special, the composition of the dishes did not reflet the price of them. We tried the tasting menu and we were not amazed at all. I will not recommend this restaurant. The service and ambiance were good but the food wasn’t.
I could not fault anything that was served to me on a plate. Although the red wine with the main course could have been more full bodied. Regardless I would definitely go back again.
Honestly, I have never been so disappointed. The food was almost inedible. My asparagus and lamb were overcooked and the artichoke was practically raw. I cannot believe this is a Michelin rated restaurant. My friend had the shrimp (mushy and bland) and the fish (horribly overcooked and none of the promised truffles). Even the bread was bad. The only decent part was the cheese plate (which obviously was purchased elsewhere!). I felt like I was being robbed.
