I have had better experiences at the Tavern but this last visit was poor. Ordered twice via the QR code for drinks that had to be chased up because they weren't seen. One only kids meal came out for the 3 kids and the other 2 were left wondering if they were going to be fed. Had to chase these down after 10 minutes of waiting. Meals were OK but i ordered a loaded potato with my rump steak. I expected the steak to be chewy but the potato jacket was more of a mission to eat than the main meal. Overall a dismal effort. No apoligies for the drinks nor the kids meals either.

We always loved going to the kirwan taven, but my husbands favourite meal was removed from the menu and he was very disappointed to the point where we nearly walked out. Why was the chicken Neptune removed ?

Food was yummy. Ordered drink through app which never came, so had to chase it up. Service for food ordering was slow. I had also promised a table next to the playground, which was not provided.

The eye fillet was small and tough. Vegetables too underdone. I enjoyed the mash and sauce. The service was smooth and efficient. Staff seemed well trained and knowledgeable.

The head waitress was excellent and very accommodating. Food was much better than the last time we had been so possibly a new chef. Was very empty for a dinner time but picked up as we left.

The Kirwan Tavern only uses the QR code menu and payment. We were unable to modify any menu items or ask about a particular menu item as customer service was non existent. There was one staff member who was also taking out meals and was very busy to get her attention to actually ask something. Not a fan of this type of ordering and will not go back.

I ordered the chicken Neptune, small chicken piece and prawns, the accompanying sauce was tasteless obviously forgot an ingredient. Prices are dear for what you get. Beer also 8 dollars, 1.20 dearer than most hotels. Can't recommend.

Has been a while since our last meal at the Kirwan Tavern...but hats off to the staff you guys are awesome food was delicious and service outstanding thank you all very much we'll be back again

I visited the Kirwan Tavern 2 times with a few friends on my recent visit to Townsville. Both times our meals were excellent & service was quick. I could not fault the friendly service by Lynley on the 1st visit & Matt on the 2nd. Thank you! It was great to have a nice meal before I unfortunately had to fly back to my reality :(
