8/10I love the atmosphere and going ther. Food is great, but small portions. Tea is always sent out cold. You can pick up the tea pot as soon as it arrives and it is always tepid and gets sent back to get boiling water

10/10The kitchen garden is a great place to go, I go at least once a month, sometimes for a meal or just for a coffee. It is really relaxing and a lovely place to go with friends

9.5/10Good find for our monthly off site meeting! My colleagues enjoyed their breakfast choices. I enjoyed my coffee’s. Could have done with a little more space between tables

8/10Had a good Sunday roast, although they’d not got enough of the veggie/vegan option for our party to all have one. Good alternatives available though so everyone happy. Nice coffee too.

4/10It took over an hour for our food to arrive. The food is pretty average and expensive for what it is. I wouldn't particularly recommend this place which is a shake as it's a friendly independent. But they really do need to try harder with the menu and waiting times. The coffee is great though.

6/10Surprised at little choice on Sunday menu but vegetarian option (the wellington) was fine. Please don't put red wine with red cabbage, red wine is a migraine trigger! Good to see lots of people there, this is a v good local venue

8/10Nice food, good service, quite popular on a Saturday lunchtime. I'd recommend that you book in advance. My only slight gripe is that the staff kept taking dishes away as each diner finished. We had a slow eater in our party, and it was a bit tiresome to keep telling the staff that they were still going with their meal. If anything, they were over-attentive, but I do appreciate that this could be a preference thing, rather than anything they should do differently. We'd come again.

10/10I already love the Kitchen Garden Cafe but it seems to have got even better. The meal I had was tasty and hot, the service brisk efficient and friendly. The ambience is gorgeous. One of my favourite places

5.5/10We usually have lovely food and brought friends to share our experience but this time food was not so tasty and arrived a little cool. GF and vegan cake went down well though!

10/10Unfortunately I was left waiting for 20 mins after sitting down before being asked what I'd like to drink

6.5/10This is a lovely little cafe. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Great cakes and drinks. Good chips. I feel like the menu options have reduced in number over the last year. Food portions have reduced in size. The ham with the ham, egg & chips was cold (i.e. not slices of hot, cooked ham) which was a shame. We were sat opposite the door of the cafe, which was left open, meaning I got cold air wafting towards me throughout our meal. And all the heat of the room was getting let out if the door. Probably not energy efficient.

4.5/10On arrival whilst waiting to be seated we were told very very rudely that they weren’t taking bookings rather than asking if we had a booking, I said we’ve booked … no apology for the barking at us just marched to our seats. The food was extremely average, ordering was slow and the service appalling! What’s happened! I used to love this place!

6/10It is a lovely little place to eat. My only concern is that it is very difficult to get staff’s attention. I really wasn’t busy at all yet no one checked on us and we needed to walk over to the counter any time we needed them. 1) to order 2) to order a further drink and 3) to get the bill. Impossible to make eye contact with anyone. I wish I could say that there was a reason for this occasion but it is the 3rd time I’ve been there and its been the same every time. Sorry

8.5/10I have been here a few times and always have the eggs royale which is delicious. My friend had the vegetarian breakfast which she really enjoyed. We dined outside which was lovely, it felt we were abroad.
