The starters were good and the desserts were also good HOWEVER the steaks in this steakhouse were just ok - I've had steaks better than this all over the world and for over £400 I do frankly expect better. C'est la vie

They served me a fillet steak but when I asked assured me it was a rump. Wasn't cooked pink at the edges because it was fillet and not rump. Chips were poor and overcooked best bit was the Mac and cheese. Great service though.

Greeted promptly at the door and taken to our table. Peter, our waiter was friend very knowledgeable. He brought the tray or uncooked steaks to our table and explained all the varieties. He didn't pressure us into ordering anything more than we wanted to made us feel very comfortable. The food came to the table quickly and was amazing. My wife, 2 daughters and I savoured every bite of the sharing steak platter. The sauces, and sides made everything taste even better. Peter then came with a sample of all the desserts and explained and described each. We had the Sharer and the Lemon Meringue and again were not disappointed. We booked our table for 8.30pm and at 10.30pm we were the last ones in the restaurant, but at no point were we made to feel hurried by the staff. They remained friendly and attentive. I thought customer service was long gone, but Peter and all the staff at Kobe made our Anniversary meal perfect. Thank all at Kobe

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed all of our food! It was so delicious and flavourful! The staff were polite and helpful also! When I booked a table I mentioned that it would be our anniversary and didn’t expect anything from it, then we got given a lovely ‘Happy Anniversary’ plate with two love heart truffles which just made the night perfect! Thank you, it means a lot!

Steaks were delicious, we treated ourselves to a sharer and I would highly recommend it. Service was excellent - there were a couple of fairly minor issues but they dealt with this incredibly well. Looking forward to coming again next time we’re in Milton Keynes.

The atmosphere was amazing, very relaxed and nice music playing in the background. We arrived a little earlier than expected but they were able to seat us. The team working there were very friendly and provided a great service. Ordered the ribeye and sirloin steak which were both delicious. Will be coming back again.

My colleague and I had a 12:30 business lunch at Kobe on a Thursday and it ticked all the boxes. We were met by the friendly and attentive maître d’ who showed us a tomahawk steak and explained the other menu options. We chose the rib-eyes, which were cooked to perfection and served with a side salad and fries. We’ll definitely try the tomahawk next time, and I fancy the truffle cauliflower cheese. We finished with coffee and concluded our business. The decor is modern and subdued and seating is an arrangement of well spaced tables with different lighting so you can choose brighter or dimmer to fit your occasion. Modern popular music played but was not too intrusive to spoil conversation. Ideal off-peak for business lunches but I imagine Friday and the Weekend make for far more lively meals. It’s not cheap, but the quality is unquestionable. Defo coming back.
