7/10We booked a table at 22h30, when we got there we ordered the degustation menu. We were told it was not available because the kitchen was closing. However, when we booked the table, we were not informed we weren’t going to be able to eat what we wanted. We ended up eating only sushi. The fish was fresh, but the variety was poor, the cut was badly made (sashimi slices almost the size of a napkin and nigiris that crumbled when touched). It looked like a rushed job to get something to the table. The coffee at the end was very bitter. The staff was nice and attentive, but the end result on the plate was lacking.

8/10I had high expectations for the sushi, but the rice was not tasty. The taste of the sashimi was not the best. The vegetable gyozas were tasty but lacked stuffing. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was nice as well. We enjoyed the night, but we will be looking for other options in the future

5.5/10Really slow, ordering 3 different thing it took them over one hour and a half, we didn’t even had any dessert. I was lucky to have really good company but I don’t get what took them so much time.

10/10Had a lovely dinner here. One small complaint was that I ordered the turbot expecting a fillet of turbot but got essentially turbot goujons. However they took the dish back and allowed me to order something else off the menu at no extra cost. Maybe descriptions on dishes would help? Other than tat the sushi and sashimi were exceptional and the service and ambience of the restaurant fantastic. My girlfriend and I had a lovely time overall though.

6.5/10The place is very pleasant, nice and they had lovely music and the service is kind. I do feel like the dishes could’ve been served a little faster as the hunger goes away if they’ve don’t get served fast enough but it was alright. The menu itself was a mix, I loved the wine selection, the uramakis were very creative - we had two tempura rolls and these were fantastic, however we then had a selection of 20 sushi and sashimis and the California’s on this dish could’ve been better. I would order all by menu myself next time rather than the selection. Overall a good experience :)

8.5/10The place had both authentic and fusion Japanese food. The quality of the dishes were superb. The Toro sashimi was fresh and fairly priced. The appetizers from the Gyoza, Seared Tuna salad and sushis were among the best we tasted. We had Tempura and Grilled Secreto Iberia Teriyaki for mains and they did not disappoint! Overall, a wonderful surprise for us in Barcelona as excellent Japanese restaurants are difficult to find in the city.

4/10Clumsy service, not a place to go to if you are seeking a food experience, the food was on the lower end of the scale. If you are experienced with sushi or Asian fusion - use your money somewhere Else. If you are a first timer with sushi - I guess you can get the same quality at a take away.

10/10We live in NYC and sample different high end sushi resteraunts all of the time. We were more than impressed with Kurai. I kept saying it was the best sushi I had ever had. We ordered spicy edamame, tartar salad, kimchi chicken wings, tuna sushi with foie gras, the shrimp tempera with tuna tartar roll, the tuna belly avocado and onion roll, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and the sockets with chocolate dipping sauce... so good we are considering going back tomorrow night for the same meal again! Cost us 72 euro total. Sparkling water - no alcohol

10/10We had a lovely dinner at Kurai while staying in Barcelona. It's a very modern, sleek, beautiful restaurant. Excellent Japanese food in Barcelona was an unexpected surprise and a little break from all the amazing tapas restaurants. Our only complaint is that after our food arrived the service staff seemed to disappear! We had to go to where the cash register was in order to get our bill and pay for it.
