Food was good, but the ventilation in the restaurant does not work at all. All smoke from the kitchen goes up in the restaurant hall. Get prepared your clothes will absorb the smell of a fried oil, which could only be eliminated after laundry. Lot’s of little flies really disturbing.

We loved spending our evening at L'Acanthe, the place is pretty, the waiter professional and really nice and the menu was full of interesting options. We recommend the onion soup and the cod. The Americano was also well done!!

Great service, we brought our one year old son and the staff went out of their way to be welcoming. Food was excellent and the outdoor seating makes for interesting people watching.

Very nice restaurant that was quiet and had a local feel even though it was not from from the Rue des Lombards night life. Comfortable dining room, attentive service and well executed dishes at a fair price. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Had a very delicious 3 course dinner, excellent service and great relaxed (but not dull) atmosphere.
We had the following starters:
- Goats Cheese tart
- Smoked trout
For mains we had:
- Duck breast with sweet potato fondant
- Chicken and Chorizo risotto
Both again plentiful portions and delicious.
For desert we had:
- Salted caramel ice cream
- Cafe with 4 miniature deserts including pistachio creme bruile, chocolate mousse, strawberry cheesecake and a moist sponge with cream.
For wine we enjoyed a carafe of Sancere - so much so, we ordered a second.
The waiters matched the quality of food with their service, they were friendly, charismatic and courteous - had the balance between attentiveness and not hurrying us perfectly.
The music was atmospheric and upbeat, but not too loud. All the dishes which came out around us looked just as great and enjoyed by other guests.
Would definitely recommend.

What a great place! They made us feel so comfortable, it was so enjoyable and reasonably priced. The staff treated us like we were old friends who came to visit. They explained everything very carefully and answered all of our questions. We all loved our dishes so much we didn't want to share with each other but we did. The deserts were some of the best we have ever eaten and we already have plans to go back before we leave. Thank you for recommending them La Forchet!!
