8.5/10We found this restaurant on our visit to Doornik. The earlier reviews were promising and it did not disappoint. We were pleasantly surprised the walters spoke English, they were friendly and fast. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant. It had an historic feel about it and the open kitchen with the chef working her magic was a nice touch. The food was good, we tried the steak, scampi, ravioli, tiramisu and crème brulee. We were satisfied customers.

10/10We really enjoyed this restaurant. The room is spacious with lots of character. The menu has good choices and all the dishes we had were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Special mention goes to the desserts - the flambéd crême brulée was pure theatre and the speculoos tiramisu was delicious. The service was very good throughout and we felt that the bill represented very good value for the quality of what we had received.

10/10Leuk restaurant welke we gevonden hebben dankzij TheFork. Intieme sfeer, leuke bediening en prachtige smaakvolle gerechten met verse ingrediënten bereid. Bediening spreekt vloeiend Engels.

8/10The ambience was good, but some background music could be nice to have. The service was fastvenough, which was important for us. It was too much food for a restaurant. But the quality of meat was good. Not the most superd restaurant, but good enough for just dinner.

7/10Welcoming, friendly, attentive staff. Shark ball/scampi (prawn) starter dishes looked better than they tasted €16 euro tad overpriced Mains Pasta tasty (huge portion) but yet again overpriced €20 Kangaroo (blue) edges eaten 2 half bottles of wine €25 each Disappointed Could and should be better If plates come back into my kitchen uneaten I’d be asking why

8/10Very good overall. Liked the amuse-bouche and the salted butter, though bread could have been more interesting. My filet of bar special with green wheat risotto was fresh and good size. My husband had their three-course ‘menu’ (I loved the flexibility of combining any of their dishes for this). His pasta was good - not over-cooked - if a bit over complicated. We shared a crème brûlée which was flambée at the table. It was good size and delicious. I didn’t see an immediate theme/flavour connection with the marhshmallownand cookie on the side, but the marshmallow was fun to heat on the flame. Water could be cheaper (nearly 8 euro for a liter is way too much). Overall would recommend - friendly service and comfortable atmosphere too.
