Second time at Joel. Beyond a dream!!! Yes, it's expensive but the quality of each ingredient will be the best you've ever and will ever have! Staff speaks good English. Food and wine recommendations were absolutely perfect. Sole Menieuire was just so-so for me so next time I will stick with either the degustation or choose four or five small plates. Love! On my Paris must do list for every return.

The food was great and the restaurant was very packed. The service of each dish was quick but it could save sweat of waiters if there was English menu.

Loved sitting at the bar, seeing the kitchen. Service and food was really excellent. Very expensive but a great experience if you can afford it.

I brought my mom to L'Atelier Joël Robuchon St Germain to celebrate her birthday. She luv every dishes, except for the service. She ordered a hazelnut latte with dessert, but the coffee only arrived after she finished her dessert. The wait was too long for a cup of coffee. I supposed the restaurant is understaff for a houseful of diners.
Though I indicated in my reservation that it's a birthday celebration and the service staff that ushered us to our seats mentioned that she's aware of it, but there was no candle on her dessert nor any special arrangement from the restaurant. It's kinda disappointing.

Food excellent as always but atmosphere is lacking at many seats in this location and service took about two hours to warm up. Some items need to be trimmed off the menu stat, e.g. the supermarche gyoza. But the highs remain very high, e.g. the Langoustine ravioli, various foie gras preparations, lamb/beef, wine pairings and after dinner liquors.

Just have a little bit surprise for this Michelin 2 stars restaurant, and you need to stand at outside of the door witz thé soir si closed for few minutes then there is a door man will serve you whether or not you have a reservation. C'est pas gentil du tout.

If you want to spend hundreds of Euro for dinner and overpriced wine, sitting about 10 cm from the other guests - it is your choice. Restaurant has at least 30% too many tables and way too few waitress
Have ordered additional wine and never got it.
Disappointing evening, except food.

While the food was quite good I was not wowed. I wish there had been a wine pairing to go with the tasting menu--the server said he could make suggestions but was not around when the dishes appeared. If I were to eat here again I'd choose a la carte instead.

Very disappointed. We have thoroughly enjoyed L'Atelier in London, which is why we chose this restaurant for the last night of a break in Paris. Unfortunately, the service was friendly but, after the swift arrival of our starter, very slow. We were sat by an automatic door that one of the staff knew was faulty but offered no apology for as it constantly opened and let in chill December draughts. The food quality was ok but nothing special. To be honest, we enjoyed the wine but not much else. A complete contrast to the other two,far cheaper and more comfortable restaurants in which we had had meals in the same holiday. Sorry to have record this but we were expecting a memorable highlight and ended up with something quite different from that.

Excellent food, service, and ambience. Great wine. Expensive. Took the 10 course degustation menu for 179 euros each, was excellent but very small portions. Next time will go for a la carte.

I have eaten at a number of two starred restaurants and this is the first time I felt I didn't get my money's worth. All dishes lacked a certain something and felt industrial, for a two star restaurant the service quality was pretty lacking and felt impersonal (I think there needs to be more staff), there wasn't much thought into selection of wines paired with the dishes. It felt like the Disneyland of haute cuisine. This sounds overly negative, but please consider that it was a very expensive meal. There wasn't anything wrong with any of the dishes, but for a restaurant that is consistently ranked very high it was pretty unsurprising and unexciting. And perhaps this was a minor detail, but the bread served was really mediocre. It is a shame considering France has the best bread in the world.

Little staf compare to clientele.
Some errors in the dishes
Few good dishes - but still "old style"
All bar tables - very crowded.
