excellent food, thoughtfully prepared, good combinations of flavour and texture. Amuse bouche of langoustine espuma lovely and delicate with a touch of the sea, foie gras and red fig parfait very good, followed by pigeon with caramelised salsify and lamb with thyme pomme purée truffle two dishes, again a well thought assemblage.
The cheese plate was brilliant goats cheese ice cream was perfect with 3 other complimentary cheeses. The desserts were simple and a good finish.
The waiter listened to what we wanted before producing a completely appropriate bottle and the chef brought a small pot of the pigeon sauce (without us asking). Heaven. Highly recommended.
