Seemed short of staff, as wait times between courses were extreme. Food was hit and miss, with wonderful asparagus and dessert but poor quality meat which was supposedly the flagship dish. Servers were nice and did their best under the circumstances.
This was a nice experience but the expectations were higher. The rception could have been more relaxed and welcoming or spontaneous. Actually, the novice waitress who didn’t exactly know how things should have been done, was very nice and enthousiastic. The entree of escargots was super except for the sweet spongecake and the lack of umami. Great thinking, less great execution. The Saint-Pierre, barely cooked, was a bit over, in my opinion, and the southern flavours of olive, artichoke and alike, somewhat smothered the greatest piece of fish ever. Big potential though, quite a lot of creativity but lacks a bit of atmosphere and joy. We loved it here and we hope to see more good vibrations next time.
We chose the fixed menu. We were impressed with the food- presentation, quality up until the main. We both had the lamb. It was unfortunately was overcooked, tough, fatty and gamey. When we told the server the offered different knifes as a solution. We again said that the meat was overcooked and fatty. The cleared the plates and moved on.
excellente, perfecte service *****, waiting time excellente 'a point', dishes quality one star michelin france, very good value for money. we'll come back!!!
Much enjoyed the evening. Would recommend
Best dining experience in Beaune thus far and one of the best of the first three weeks of a five week trip largely focused on food and wine.
The food was amazing, the service was with a smile. This place was slightly out of town, so it ended up being a bit quieter than we expected. Everything was great, and in a sometimes surprising way, from the amuse bouche to the main course. Service was always friendly, and the head server came by and chatted with us a bit when she brought the check. A great night out, and well deserving of it's Michelin rating!
Highly recommended. Excellent food, memorable wine, and fantastic service.
Delightful
Excellente table. Je recommande vivement.
We had the three course lunch menu for 25 euros. It was absolutely beautiful food and very, very good value for the price. There are wines from 20 euros though the local wines are more. The service was very attentive and the garden is lovely.
It was Saturday and busy so service was good, even though waiting time was a bit extended. Generally helpful and friendly. Nice presentation of food and good quality. A bit a setback was the Menu that changed apparently 2 days prior and did not match what was in the internet or in the display box in front of the restaurant. Apart from the fact that I had already chosen and was looking forward I think it should be possible to change a Menu that is not actual at least in front of the Restaurant.
Our lunch here was the (food) highlight of our time in Beaune. This restaurant was more memorable than all others during our vacation in Paris. Preparation, presentation, flavor, all excellent!
The unsung hero of restaurants in Beaune, classy, quiet yet sophisticated and modern quisine!
Food was spectacular and service was even better
Outstanding!!
Precise and accomplished cooking coupled with warm, hospitable service.
Top notch dining, great food service and company. We did the 7 course degustation menu paired with their recommended wines by glass. What a treat. Worth mention was the salmon creme brulee in the amuse bushe, the lobster with fennel, the perfect steak and the sticky sorbet macaroons.
Ate out on the gravel terrace on a balmy summer evening. Food was delicious and staff were very helpful.
Such an amazing dinner to end my two night stay in Beaune. I was able to secure a table on a Friday night, and so happy I found this gem. Probably the best over all dinner in Beaune.
