Erg drukke avond, waardoor de bediening wat stroef verliep. Lekker gegeten.

Just back from a family meal at this Italian restaurant after many years away. We took advantage of an excellent 2 for 1 deal with Albert Heijn & Iens to try this place again. Our table was for 7.30 and we arrived to find the restaurant in full swing. It's clearly the place local families go to celebrate birthdays. That means if you're not prepared for the noise and bustle, you picked the wrong restaurant. On the positive side, the starters and the pizza's were really excellent. So was the red wine we ordered from their list.

But the service, although friendly, is bordering on Fawlty Towers. They say an elephant never forgets. But in this case, they forgot everything - drink orders including a second bottle of wine. We had to ask several times for bread. When the food arrived it was great. But catching the attention of staff was a nightmare. One member of our party got so frustrated, he almost walked out. The bill at the end was reasonable, since it included the 2 for 1 discount. If that had been missing, we would have demanded to see the manager. Undecided if we'll every go back,
