About the restaurant L'Embarcadère

We came here for seafood and got a really fresh and abundant platter! The servers were also really patient with us in helping to describe what each seafood was on the menu, since we can’t read French. It’s a bit pricey but for fresh seafood, it’s what you get! Would recommend coming here for great variety and quality of seafood.

Excellent restaurant and superb service. This is so architypally French.
We chose fish - prawns, oysters and the fish of the day. All were superb. The wine was excellent and very good value. A must place in Bordeaux

Fruits De Mer was poor quality across the board and not cleaned very well. Beef and salad were good. Overall, disappointing. Will go elsewhere next time

The staff were having fun working, the wine was excellent and the food was great! But it was the stuff that made the evening most delightful! And the staff were having fun working, the wine was excellent and the food was great! But it was the stuff that made the evening most delightful

A great place and clearly a bit of an institution. We had lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon, with windows open and it was great. Good service, good atmosphere, and good food and wine - what more could you ask for?

Very busy, food was okay though service very slow. It took over 2 hours for two courses and a further 30 minutes to pay the bill.

The food was excellent. They have a great sekection. The seafood cover wooden boat is one of the most impressive methods to serve seafood that I have ever seen

Cap Ferret oysters are not very good and can be purchased for€5 for a dozen, so selling 6 for €11 that are opened with broken shells in them is low quality, which keeps the prices down. Yes, prices are low and the quality of food represents that, so I understand this relationship as with cheap wine.

This is an excellent seafood restaurant in the center of Bordeaux that we enjoyed very much. It was rather expensive though, particularly since I saw afterwards that they charged us for 3 glasses of white wine when we only had two.

A very nice place with helpful staff. It's an established place so it has menus in different languages. It is designed to fully feed customers so large portions provided.

A excellent fish restaurant with lovely staff and good service. Not fine dining but the food is what it's all about. Fish soup starter was delicious as was the fish platter. Highly recommended.
