The restaurant was recommended to us by my son and his girlfriend. We took the last reservation of the afternoon before they closed before the evening shift. We were not rushed, the service was impeccable. The seafood was beautifully presented and fresh. We received excellent recommendations. We have the paella that was traditional to the arear with mixed seafood. It was truly the best paella we ever had. I highly recommend this place.

An excellent restaurant with a unique offer, on arrival you are given a small glass of Prosecco and guided to the ice counter where you choose the fish and shellfish you fancy, and the mode of cooking. Each dish was exquisite and there was a nice wine menu to accompany it. My only regret is not having time for dessert. Service was excellent and the staffs excellent English made up for my lack of Catalan.

We were disappointed to find that L’Estrella no longer exists in its own right but has been absorbed into L’Arossa, with no change of signage. Very confusing trying to find the venue and we weren’t the only people studying google maps and scratching our heads. Ordering was somewhat confusing so we went for paella as a safe bet. When it came the fish paella did not have a lot of seafood and was rather dry. We did see some more appetising looking fish dishes being delivered to other tables but as prices weren’t displayed it was difficult to know what the total meal cost would be. As it was our meal seemed to be expensive for something rather ordinary. They refused us tap water so we had to buy bottled.

Relaxed restaurant with great staff. It was very busy so we had to be patient but it was well worth it. The guy on the fish counter was excellent. Loved the concept of chosing your food at the counter and he was just great. Superb squid and fantastic paella to follow. Very good value I think. Just go and enjoy it.

Tried to find Estelle de mer as advertised, eventually found it but name changed. The fish in the window should have given me a clue!. Opens a at 8 and a queue to get in as you choose your fish before you sit down. Worked well and will go back but must book for 8pm

What a fantastic time! We had some trouble finding a restaurant, as the name has changed. This was very confusing, but once we found the location, our amazing chef walked us through the process of choosing our fish, choosing our dinner, and he made the most amazing food! Everyone had just an awesome time and literally one of the best food experiences we’ve had. I highly recommend this restaurant, but finding it again is super challenging.

Very good fish and marisco dishes. I personally selected bacalao, and it was great! Small marisco appetizers was also great. Next time in Gerona my wife and I will definitely visit this friendly restaurant once more. Paella was also very good.
