The food was excellent, I had the foie gras de canard to start which was superb and every other paet of our meal was excellent; wine was good if slightly expensive although prices of wine do seem to be on the rise.
Whilst our waitress was very pleasant and patient with us as we are English and our French isn't fluent but I have no idea why the service was extremely slow as we were the only people in at 7.00 pm until a gentlemanwith his 2 sons arrived around 8.30pm who lived locally, dined there periodically and when he came in asked if the service had been slow so it seems it is regularly so. We weren't in a rush so it wasn't actually a problem for us but hyad we intended to watch football (9.00pm kick off) of which, thank fully, there was none that night we would not have made it. Please be prepared for at least a 2-hour visit.

I suspect this is mainly frequented by locals - it's a little off the tourist track. The menu is limited- basically a menu of the day, limited a la carte, plus pizzas. However, we all enjoyed our meals which were well cooked and tasty, with decent well-priced wine.
