I had hits and misses with the trip advisor. Sometimes I would end up in a tourist trap even though the restaurant has very high rating from the trip advisor. This restaurant however was even better than the rating. The staff was patient and made beautiful dishes even for my son who ordered kid's plates. The price was very reasonable for the tasting menu and the ambiance was romantic and quaint.

As part of a 30th wedding anniversary gift, we wanted to dine at a Michelin star restaurant. Through The Fork we were able to get reservations at L'Orangerie. What a delight! The atmosphere, service and food were spectacular, each course a delight not just for the pallet but for the eyes as well. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Best night of our trip so far!

The entire experience was terrific. The food was beautifully presented, the meal was delicious, and the staff was friendly and efficient . The hostess was very kind to us and agreed to let us leave our car in the parking lot while we walked the town. I fully recommend it.

We went on a Thursday evening in early June - I had booked just an hour before. We had the menu for 38 Euros, and it was excellent. Frankly, I don't know how they make a profit on that. Amuse bouche was an absolutely outstanding and generously portioned frothy asparagus soup, followed by some of the best fried foie gras I've ever had, inventively served with a bit of pesto and a kind of Waldorf salad. Dorade with green beans was delicious, was doused at the table in its light and creamy sauce. Profiteroles for dessert, also doused in fabulous chocolate sauce. Little cakes as an extra for dessert. Excellent rose Sancerre for $22 for half a bottle. Extremely friendly patronne, and delightfully earnest young waiters. Highly recommended.

We were really disappointed about the food quality of this restaurant. The amuses bouches were very heavy, the main dish was not fully cooked and we all left our dessert on the table (millefeuille with some kind of garlic butter ?). On top of that the waiter sold us a bottle of champagne which was 40 euro more expensive than the one we ordered (but which was not available). Even if there were a lot of waiters available, we had to pour our own wine .... The next day we ate in a simple 'brasserie' in Blois and it was ten times better. We were really looking forward to eating here (the restaurant has 1 star which seems impossible for me) but the six of us couldn't wait to leave it. On top of that we paid a lot of money for pre-cooked food. There was not a lot on our plate which was cooked à la minute.

Good, but not particularly interesting or surprising - all was cooked very well, though the combination of ingredients within the dishes did not really bring something special.. they were rather separate flavours on the same dish without creating some interesting match or texture. Nice local cheese selection.
