Very good but a little slow
Excellent in every way
We had the loveliest time at L'Orangerie. The owner & chef are both lovely and kind. The food was incredible. And the ambiance is unique and delightful, we could have stayed all night taking and laughing. Now we must roll ourselves out as we are so full and content - and grateful!
The food is Incredible, with amazing service a really family owned feel, and a welcoming, friendly ambience. This is my absolute favourite place to eat in Paris.
This is a restaurant with a long history of good reviews, punctuated recently with more mediocre feedback. However, we decided to try it again on this trip to Ile Saint Louis in Paris. Sadly, we too were disappointed. The dishes that all four of us ate were just OK, fairly tasteless and nothing special. I do hope that l’Orangerie soon reclaims it’s excellence.
We love this place/it is quiet and quaint and the food was delicious/we made it a point to return after our discovery in 2015 and it did not disappoint
Bland food, bland service. The ravioli was good but the fish and vegetables did not taste anything. The desserts were too much too. It was also obvious that we were treated differently because we were young. Others got recommendations, the waiters asked if the food was nice, they were patient and kind. We got the feeling they thought they we would not care how we were treated because we were young.
I celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary at l'Orangerie in 1985. At the time it was one of the best restaurants in the 4th and 5th arrondisements, elegant with great cuisine. It is no longer in that class. Very pedestrian. It proves the maxim, "you can't go home".
We had a delicious authentic French meal. My husband ordered sweet breads which are not easy to find and thought they were exceptional. Our waitress was delightful and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
We were a group of 6people. We felt very welcome. The waitress was professional and kind. She made everything easy and was in no hurry. Food was absolutely great and the atmosphere wonderful. We all enjoyed and had such a good and relaxing time. Will come back again!
A perfect evening - beautiful food, ambience, music, service
The owner was wonderful to my wife and I. Felt like I was back home and I will remember this visit for a long time!!! Wine was phenomenal beautiful location!!

A great dining experience on the last day of our stay in Paris. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was perfect. My wife and I were very appreciative of the hospitality and generosity of the staff. A friendly, welcoming environment for people not from Paris and excellent food.
Food and service good, but our réservation was not registered. So we can't get the offered discount. In the time what we spend in the restaurant the waiter and also the waitress are leaving the restaurant more then 5 times and we have no idea what they are doing outside. HH
The restaurant was cold, lacked atmosphere and had tired decor. The food was poor and hot dishes served luke warm. The vegetable pie had soaky pastry as though it had been heated in a microwave. The soup was tasteless. The chicken was dry and tough, the pesto pasta was just warm pasta with hardly any pesto sauce and the duck was served luke warm. Given the above didn’t bother with desert or coffee. Expensive for very mediocre food
We had the prix fixed menu for €37. I had the pumpkin soup, lamb and chocolate creme. The lamb was outstanding. The soup and chocolate creme were good. We had reservations for Friday at 7:30 pm. We were the only customers. We made a reservation. The wonderful waiter gave us our dessert gratis for making a booking in advance.
Ok food - good service
The staff is incredibly friendly. They make you feel very at ease. And the food is great and prices reasonable.
