The food was nice. But without phantasy. I could have made it without having lots of experience in cooking.
As a starter I chose a salad with asperges. It was good but very simple. 3 asperges with bacon, salad with balsamic and a simple baked egg.
As main course I had beef and it got a nice name (black angus). It was a really good peace of meat.
It was served with fried frites and that was it.
My wife had Italian penne with sauce carbonaire. Nice, but not special. The same kind of food she makes once a week.
Conclusion: good if you do not want surprises and in that perspective quite expensive.

Lovely small Chateau restaurant. We were ecstatic to find a restaurant of this quality open on a Sunday evening in France. The dishes are simple but they use the highest quality of ingredients. Vegetables are perfectly cooked and dishes are lightly seasoned with herbs. We started with the mussels with tagliatelle pasta. The sauce was perfect and the mussels were done to perfection. I had a steak tartare which was nicely seasoned. Our other dish was a sea bass which had a very good butter lemon sauce. Our dessert of a pear tart was very tasty. This is not a gastronomic restaurant but you will have wonderful food in a very beautiful setting.
