This is now one of my favourite restaurants in Funchal. The service and food was excellent. We sat outside and watched the world go by drinking a lovely white wine

The food was excellent The guy who owns the restaurant came in to cook for a party of 7 who appeared important? He only had eyes for them and no one else in his restaurant !! I realise that these people were important regulars however he needs to realise that us tourists are important as well!! I mentioned his behaviour to a member of staff on our way out and was told that I wasn’t the only person to comment!! In summing up good food reasonable service but staff did not listen to what we wanted We didn’t want bread but got it wines not fully explained and neither was the muse buse !! We have been a few times the owner and staff can do better

Super experience we enjoyed the shrimp starter then the tuna fish with risotto. The tuna fish was perfectly good and delicious. The white wine by the glass was good too . The staff were friendly and helpful

Everything was impeccable, the food was amazing, they made a mistake with my order and the chef came out and owned up to it and said he will fix it and I tried that dish and it was amazing. Not what I ordered but I absolutely loved it. Will come back again if I am in Madeira again

As always, the Tunatatar was world class! Unfortunately, we can't judge the main course as we gave up after just under two hours. In contrast to the dark-skinned waiter, who provided the guests with blankets against the freshening wind and served his tables with great commitment, our waiter didn't show his face for an hour after serving the drinks. As we were the first guests of the evening, this can't be excused because there were too many guests. Too bad, a visit to Lá ao Fundo has always been part of our visit to Madeira.
