The Calamar fritas were beautiful! Perfectly salted, came out hot, not at all rubbery, and the texture wasn’t greasy. The flavor was subtle, not quite as pungent as grilled calamari, but the seasoning in the batter didn’t over power the meat. Duck confit Shepard’s pie came in tapas size as well, it’s display quaint and straight forward, with a small salad as a pretty garniture on a black slate slab. The dressing for that salad was mustardy and a hint of sweet, and it was a sharp contrast to the gamey sweet flavor of the duck. The traditional potatoe top was completely unseasoned, not even with salt, and the cheese on top looked to have been grilled; there is the bitter tang of ash. The caramelized onion was beautiful with the duck, and combing all the elements (even the charred bits of cheese) made for a rustic and earthy dish that, as a tapas, was perfectly sized for one. Croquetas de Iberico jamón - WHAT IS THIS AND WHY ISNT IT ALWAYS INSIDE OF ME!? Golden brown, deep fried but not greasy, horse pills from heaven, these croquetas make the French croquette swoon. The potatoes and ham are strong dance partners in this tasty tango! Mini Ibérico Platas - a serving of manchego, chorizo, and Iberico ham. Grounded, rich, pungent and perfect.

Lovely restaurant in a great location. The service was excellent and the food delicious. There is a children’s area with toys so everyone was happy! Will definitely be back!

We stayed in Marbella for 4 nights and had dinner here twice. Great food and friendly service. We found that La Bodega had more choices for tapas than any other tapas restaurants in the area. Highly recommend.

Sea views and lovely ambiance; the Tapas were more varied and delicious than we expected and very good value for money. We ate elsewhere, paid more and didn't enjoy it half as much so we went back and would definitely return. Highly recommend La Bodega for variety on the menu and excellent customer service with a smile.
